Air injection for mixing liquids

 

APPLICATION

Porous metal spargers are used in virtually every industry for an array of different applications, like in this case (bio)fermentation. If you need to introduce gas into a liquid in any type of critical application, spargers provide controlled porosity of the porous metal and allow uniform permeability and consistent/repeatable performance each and every time. 

Our biofermentation spargers allow higher gas absorption than standard methods (drilled pipes) and can significantly lower energy costs by decreasing the agitation needed in your biofermentors.

POROUS METAL SPARGERS VS. DRILLED PIPES


Porous metal spargers provide a solid, reliable method with a better performance compared to drilled pipes. For example: porous metal offers 10-40% more initial O2 absorption over a drilled pipe with 2-3x rate of rise for mild agitation systems. Additionally, Mott's spargers are certified and are available in a wide variety of fittings and alloys to meet the desired specifications of your biofermentation process.
